QuickMove® Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully. By using our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms:

📍 Sydney-Based Operations

QuickMove® is a Sydney-based removalist company, and our services are strictly limited to moves to and from Sydney. We do not offer local-only moving services outside of the Sydney region.

If at any time a relocation involves a pickup or delivery address outside of Sydney, all return travel time, tolls, and fuel costs will be added to the final total. These additional costs are calculated based on the distance and location and will be discussed prior to the move where possible.

If you are unsure whether your move qualifies as outside Sydney, we recommend calling us before booking. Our support team is available 7 days a week, from 7am to 7pm.

💳 Moving Rates & Minimum Charges

  • Standard Moving Rate: $59 per ½ hour (2 movers)

  • ½ Hour Callout Fee: A callout fee of $59 is payable upfront to secure your booking

  • 2-Hour Minimum Hire Time: All moves are subject to a 2-hour minimum hire period, billed at $59 per ½ hour, totalling $236 payable on the day

  • Billing: Additional time is billed in 30-minute increments after the initial 2-hour minimum

  • Online Deposit: The callout fee acts as your deposit. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the move

GST applies to all rates and charges.

💰 Payment Terms

  • We accept VISA, MasterCard, Diners, AMEX & PAYID
  • Cash payments are not accepted.
  • Payment is due on the day, during the move, and in the presence of the removalists team.

📘 GST Explained

When we say “GST applies”, this means the listed price does not yet include GST. A 10% Goods and Services Tax will be added to your total at checkout.

Example: If a service is quoted at $100 and GST applies, the final total will be $110.

📦 Plastic Wrapping for Extra Protection

If you would like extra protection for your furniture or appliances during transit, we offer heavy-duty plastic wrapping at a flat rate of $10 per item. This is highly recommended for items such as mattresses, TVs, delicate finishes, or fabric lounges that need added protection during the move.

🛣️ Truck Toll Surcharge

Where toll roads are used during your move, a flat surcharge of $20 per tollgate entry will apply. This covers major motorways such as the M2, M7, M4, and others commonly used for efficient routing across Sydney. You will be advised when a toll is necessary for your move.

📆 Rescheduling Policy

Need to Reschedule? No Problem.
We understand that plans can change. That’s why QuickMove® offers free rescheduling with no fees when requested at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled moving date.

You’re welcome to move your booking to any available date — including weekends — at no extra cost.

Late notice or same-day reschedule requests will require a new booking.

All change requests must be submitted in writing.

❌ Refunds & Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your booking, we ask that you notify us by 5:00pm the day prior to your move. No refunds are available for cancelations.

🔐 Insurance Terms

  • Goods In Transit Insurance: Up to $100,000
  • Public & Product Liability Insurance: Up to $20,000,000

Important: Our insurance only covers damage caused during transit. Claims must be lodged within 24 hours of your move. We recommend that customers consider arranging additional coverage through a third-party insurance provider for high-value items or non-transit related risks.

🧱 Fatigue Management

Our removalists work hard and must take short breaks periodically. If the team encounters excessive physical strain — such as long stair climbs, steep driveways, or moving extremely heavy items — a $50 per person surcharge may be added to the invoice. This one-off fee is to cover the added labour and safety demands in such conditions.
